Maja Benko is Executive Director of the Life Insurance Division at Zavarovalnica Triglav, the leading insurance and financial group in the Adria region. With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, she brings extensive expertise in life insurance, product development, underwriting, claims management, sales support, and bancassurance.
In her current role, Maja is responsible for the development and management of personal insurance products and for leading insurance sales through bank distribution channels. She oversees product development, underwriting, claims management, sales support, and bancassurance activities across the organization.
Throughout her career, she has led numerous transformation and innovation initiatives, including the introduction of digital business processes, online insurance sales, process automation, AI-driven solutions, and the integration of insurance services into broader ecosystems focused on health, lifestyle, and mobility. She actively collaborates with start-ups, technology companies, and industry experts to help shape the future of insurance.
Maja also serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of Triglav Svetovanje and has been a long-standing member of the Executive Board and Actuarial Committee of the Slovenian Actuarial Society, contributing to the development of the actuarial profession and education in Slovenia.
