Annie Tay, FIA, CERA is Managing Director of Cubic Risk Solutions, a UK-based actuarial and risk management advisory firm serving the insurance sector since 2010. She has over 20 years’ experience across insurance, reinsurance, regulation, capital, governance and transformation, with recent work supporting digital insurance and Web3 insurance carriers internationally.
Annie’s work sits at the practical meeting point of actuarial judgement, risk management, data, models and technology. Over the past seven years, she has helped insurance ventures strengthen risk frameworks, regulatory readiness, and data and model governance as the sector modernises.
She was previously a supervisor at the Bank of England/Prudential Regulation Authority and represented the UK PRA at the IAIS FinTech Forum, where she considered supervisory policies on AI, cryptoassets, DLT, and open finance. She was also involved in establishing one of the first regulated BTC life insurance companies in 2022.
